Fall Transition

Summer to Fall Transitional Decor

I’m pretty sure summer just started but here we are with Christmas decor popping up in stores! If you’re not quite ready to go all out on Fall decor yet (or people in your house are giving you the stink eye for putting Halloween decor out in September!)  I’ve got 5 easy ways to transition from summer to fall decor.

  1. Put your fruit on a tray. Using seasonal fruit in your decor is an easy and inexpensive way to add a pop of color and a touch of fall to your kitchen. Apples, pears, and pumpkins can be added to bowls, baskets, or jars for a little hint of Fall.
  2. Add pillows and throws to your living room. Textured throws and pillows can instantly make your house feel cozier.
  3. Bring the outdoors inside. Talk about cheap! Go outside and grab a few pinecones, branches, or leaves. Sticking a few green branches in a glass vase is a beautiful way to decorate your dining room table.
  4. Fill your house with Fall scents  Whether it’s a candle, a wax melter, or an oil, nothing transports you to hayrides and scarecrows faster than pumpkin spice.
  5. Create “moments” all over your home. Style a simple fall vignette with a cutting board, a pumpkin, and some sunflowers in a pitcher. So simple but so elevated!
